ഇനിയാരെയും സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്നില്ലെനിക്കു, പിന്നെയുമാരെയോ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു മനസ്സിന്നു. വന്നുപോയവരൊക്കെയുമേകിയതു കുന്നോളം ദു:ഖങ്ങൾ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു, ഒപ്പമുള്ളവരേകുന്നതും വേറല്ല. “കപടലോകത്തിലൊരാത്മാർത്ഥ ഹൃദയമുണ്ടായതാണെൻ പരാജയം.” എന്നു ചൊല്ലിയ കവി ഹൃദയത്തിൻ വേദനയെ അറിഞ്ഞീടുന്നു ഞാനിന്നു വേരറ്റം വരെയും ഒരിറ്റു മുറിയാതെ. നെഞ്ചിനകത്തെരിയുന്നു ആ വേദനയിന്നും, നെരിപ്പോടിനുള്ളിലെ തീക്കനൽ പോലെ. നേരും നേർവഴിയുമെന്തിനെടുക്കുന്നു ഞാൻ മാത്രമിപ്പോഴും, നേരത്തോടടുക്കുമ്പോൾ പെരുവഴിയിലാകുവാനെപ്പോഴും. ഒന്നുറക്കെ കരയണമെന്നുണ്ടെനിക്കു ഒന്നിലും പരിതപിക്കാത്തയീ ലോകത്തിനു മുന്നിൽ, എന്തിനു? പേറുവാനാകാത്തയുള്ളിലെ ഭാരത്തെ- യേറുവാനാരേലും വന്നെങ്കിലെന്നു ഞാൻ ആശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു വെറുതെയിന്നു, ആശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു വെറുതെയിന്നു.....
